Decorating your home can be intimidating sometimes. You can shop for things to put around your home just about anywhere these days. I try to follow a few tips when shopping around for any home decor.
First thing is deciding if you’ll only be using the decor piece seasonally. If it’s something you’re going to use once a year then you don’t want to invest too much money into it. When next year rolls around you will more than likely be into another style or whatever the “in” thing is at that time.
Second thing is if you’re going to spend money on a decor piece make sure it’s something that you can use year round or at least majority of the year. Keep in mind when I say year round, I don’t mean you have to keep that particular decor in the same spot. I like to buy pieces that can be used throughout my home.
The last tip that I have is to take a look around your. You’ll be surprised at what you have. Dishes, vases, coasters etc. The possibilities are endless.
Take a look at four ways I styled our coffee table reusing some of the same decor pieces.
Option One – Winter Touch:
Option Two – Winter with no Floral:
Option Three – Sweet & Simple:
Option Four – Valentine Romance:
Almost every decor piece was used twice and they’re still a few more options to mix these pieces up together. Five out of the ten items I used were things I had around the house. The other five items are what I bought and each decor piece cost under $10. The only thing that was the most expensive was the mirrored tray for $20 but this is something I plan to use over and over.
P.S. I cannot wait for summer to show you how I plan to up cycle this coffee table.
I love how each of these options turned out and will rotate them over the next few months until it’s time to revamp for spring. Leave a comment below and let me know which option you like! Don’t forget to like and follow for more creative ideas!
