You see that up there? Peace and quiet. That is one of the few times these two get along. Is it sad that my husband and I just spent the last 10 minutes going through our pictures trying to find a decent picture of our kids looking like they love each other? Well this right here is the best that we can come up with.
O-M-G!!! Mommy’s (and Daddy’s), do you ever have those days you just want to scream?!?! My little one is an angel most days and by days I literally mean during the day when his big sister is at school. My boy is just such a mama’s boy and anytime his sister is around and he has to share mommy, his little horns come out.
Now before anyone comes for me, this is a rant. I am very thankful and grateful for both my munchkins and there is nothing I would do or wish differently BUT that being said, I am allowed to have my frustration days! It’s okay to feel like you’re going to explode and lose your mind.
I have one girl and one boy. I am not sure if this is just a boy/girl thing but my daughter was 100% different than my son. Teaching my daughter to do things was a walk in the park in comparison to teaching my son. With my daughter, it was “Mya, don’t touch that please.” With my son? “Khalel, please don’t touch that….(no response)….Khalel, please don’t touch that…(no response, let’s try this one more time)…Khalel, PLEASE don’t touch that!!” My dude will look you in the face and not only touch whatever he’s not supposed to but pick it up and run!
When my maternity leave was up with my daughter, I went straight back to work so she learned really quick how to adapt not having mommy around all the time. After my maternity leave was up with my son, I continued to be home and decided to become a stay at home mom. So I’m all he knows and wants! The obsession is real lol.
My daughter loves my son so much and my son equally loves her but the moment she comes around me, oh my goodness! Let the war begin!! He causes destruction throughout the whole house!
All day from 8:30am to 3:30pm, he is an angel. He’s loving, he listens, he plays with this toys quietly and does whatever mama tells him to. From the time the clock strikes 3:30pm, it becomes a zoo. *sigh* As I type this they are currently fighting over a turn on the ride a long. THERE ARE TWO RIDE A LONGS!!!
Do you want to know the worst/best part about this little boy driving me nuts? He knows that exact moment that I am about to explode and lose my s*#!. So he will run up to me lay down or cuddle up with me and just snuggle and plant a bunch of kisses on me. Then at that moment he makes me melt and sort of forget everything that just went down.
I hope this is just a phase. What do you do so that you don’t have to play referee to a potential wrestling match between your kids? Leave a comment below and let me know!
