Styled Ponytail

I love how this look came out. Even though I styled this on my daughter this would look great on any child or adult (you know maybe minus the big flower lol unless you like that sort of accessory!). Here’s how I put this one together.

Step One: For the type of hair my daughter has it was easier for me to blow dry her hair first. Her hair is super wavy/curly and I wanted a clean straight look.

Step Two: You want to use a comb with a pick to create a rectangle shape centered at the top of the head.

Step Three: Create a single braid down the middle and secure it with an elastic. If you not adding an accessory then you can do an elastic that matches her outfit or even one that is close to their hair colour.

Step Four: If you have a Boar Bristle Brush this would be the best thing to use to get a smooth finish. I would highly recommend investing in one of these brushes. It works great on all types of hair! Slick the hair back on a slight angle so it crosses over the braid slightly on the edges.

Step Five: The last step is where you can really have fun with it. Accessorize your little one’s hair. I bought this flower from Ardene’s. They have a great selection of hair accessories.

I hope you have fun giving this one a try. Leave a comment to let me know what you think about this one. Don’t forget to like and follow for more creative ideas!
