100 Days of School 2019

Yeesh! It’s almost already 100 days since my kiddo has been in school. She will have her 100th day celebration in school on February 12th and they had to complete a little project that shows 100 things in some sort of way. Today was a P.D. Day, so what better way to spend it than putting our little project together.

Here’s what you’ll need (I also used some glitter pens):

Everything that you need, you can get at your local dollar store. You may need to grab the gold-fish crackers from your local grocery store. The first thing you want to do is cut out the shape of a fish bowl using the blue bristol board. Also cut out some seaweed shaped cutouts using your green construction paper. Once you have your cutouts, count out 100 Gold Fish crackers (my daughter did this part).

Lay out the seaweed cutouts along the bottom of your fish bowl and glue them in place. Using your glue gun, add your marbles all along the bottom of your “tank”. I let my daughter place them carefully and then I filled it in a little more later on.

Then it’s time to go crazy with your gold-fish. Add them all over and evenly throughout until you’ve used them all. Again my daughter started to put the fish in the tank and then was over it quite quickly, so mommy took over.

After all the fish was glued, I added the completed tank to the black bristol board. This part is completely optional. You can leave it just as is with just the blue fish bowl and it will look perfectly fine. I, however, messed up the writing  of “100th Day of School at the top of the tank lol so I had to cut off the top part. I glued the tank to the black bristol board and spruced up the black board by added a few more marble stones (equaling to 100 as well) and used some glitter pens to write the words.

Overall I think it turned out pretty well. It was a 70/30 effort lol but what are you going to do. Does your kid’s school celebrate 100 days of school? Let me know what kind of projects they do for their school in the comments! Don’t forget to like and follow for more creative crafts!
