Not Your Typical Tuna

Hey Everyone! After a week long hiatus, I am back! The kids had March Break this past week and I let myself go quite a bit! I’m basically starting my weight-loss journey all over again. I’ll share our March Break details in a few days on a Mommy Rant.

Anyway, this Sunday’s recipe as you guess is my version of Tuna Salad. I am not a fan of Mayo with my tuna so I’ve been having this way of tuna salad for as long as I can remember. It’s super quick and easy to prepare. Here’s what you’ll need:

Some ingredient notes. You can adjust the amount of tuna used. I usually like to prep for a few days just to save on time. You can use lime instead of lemon (I actually prefer using lime).

To your bowl of tuna, add all your dry ingredients; italiano season, garlic powder, black pepper and salt. Mix everything until it’s all combined well.

I like adding the onion and tomato last so things don’t get mushy. You’ll also want to add the lemon juice now and give it a gentle toss.

Once everything is all mixed up together, you’re all finished! You can serve this with some toast, crackers, in a sandwich or even with a salad. I like to have mine with some watercress.

Let me know if you give this one a try. Leave a comment below to and let me know your favourite way of eating tuna salad. Don’t forget to like and follow for more creative recipe ideas!
